beef stew Taiwan style

500g shank beef or shin
500g rendang beef
4 large tomatoes over ripe
3 onion
2 large carrot
350ml stock
2 tbsp hot bean paste
3 bay leaves
Salt pepper
Potato optional


Sear meat.
Add everything
Boil on high for 10min until boil
Switch to low and leave for 1.5 hours stirring occasionally
